Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer who is passionate about building high-performance, scalable, and secure web applications. The candidate will be responsible for developing custom themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring seamless functionality across different projects.

In this role, you will work closely with designers, frontend developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions that meet both business and user requirements. A strong understanding of WordPress core architecture, hooks, and modern development practices is essential.

The ideal candidate should be capable of handling complex customizations, troubleshooting technical issues, and continuously improving system performance and code quality. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be committed to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes & plugins from scratch
  • Customize existing themes, plugins, and WooCommerce functionalities
  • Implement and manage WordPress hooks (actions & filters) efficiently
  • Build scalable and reusable components following best practices
  • Optimize website performance, speed, and overall user experience
  • Write clean, structured, and well-documented PHP code
  • Work with REST APIs and integrate third-party services
  • Handle database operations, custom queries & performance tuning
  • Troubleshoot bugs, conflicts, and technical issues proactively
  • Ensure SEO-friendly development and technical optimization
  • Collaborate with design and frontend teams for pixel-perfect implementation
  • Maintain code quality using version control (Git)
  • Modify and extend third-party plugins when required
  • Ensure security best practices in development and deployment
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ years of practical WordPress development experience 
  • Proven expertise in developing custom themes & plugins
  • Strong understanding of WordPress core structure & hooks
  • Ability to create custom hooks for scalable architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of WooCommerce hook customization
  • Experience with database optimization, custom queries & WP_Query
  • Strong PHP skills (Laravel experience will be considered a plus)
  • Experience with Elementor (non-heavy customization)
  • Hands-on experience with ACF, JetEngine & Crocoblock
  • Ability to modify third-party plugins & resolve conflicts
  • Good knowledge of MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & REST APIs
  • Performance optimization & SEO best practices knowledge
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable & well-documented code
  • Strong English communication skills (High Priority)
